Talenthouse Member Invite Beta

Stan Lee, Brett Ratner, U2, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake – you are next!”

What is a Member Invite?

Member Invites are hosted by independent, up-and-coming artists: fellow Talenthouse members ready to connect with other imaginative minds and build upon their body of work through Talenthouse.  You can now launch personally-designed projects from the same platform for collaborative creation that pioneers like Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Stan Lee and Justin Timberlake have harnessed to great effect.

Why Launch Your Own?

• Shape your creative path by commissioning a work or collaborating with a fellow artist.
• Easily set up a ready-made or customizable Invite for gaining submissions.
• Draw from creative Talenthouse members from around the world.
• Discover your ideal submission(s) through open votes, your personal selection, or a combination of both.
• Invigorate your followers and reach out to new audiences through the activity and attention your Invite generates.

Collaboration & Commission

When designing a Member Invite, you can commission a work from other Talenthouse artists or collaborate by working directly with them.

A collaboration is a casting call for other creatives to work together with the host on a project.  The collaborating artists receive credit for their contribution and promotion through the host’s social media channels.

A commission is a request for artists to produce something for the host in exchange for promotion as well as financial rewards.  For comparison, we offer the following examples.

Collaboration: “Create with me.” If you work with another artist to perform a duet together or ask for someone to help you design and paint a mural as partners, with no other award than the teamwork and mutual promotion, that is a collaboration.

Commission: “Create for me.” If you request an artist to design for a T-shirt or take a photograph to hang on your office wall, and provide them with an award as well as the chance to create for you, that is a commission.

Artist-to-Artist Collaboration Speaks for Itself

By designing and hosting their own Member Invites for Talenthouse, these Members forged new connections and achieved spectacular results:

Sarah Solovay – Remix a Track – 54,811 Social Engagements

Singer-songwriter Sarah Solovay’s earnest song “Gone” had garnered attention from the Grammy Awards in 2010 – now, she was ready to lend her own ear to a creative remix of her hit track.  She decided to draw from Talenthouse’s unique member outreach and was bequeathed with vibrant and electrifying member tributes to her soulful tune.

“I was touched and astounded by the number and quality of the entries. There were so many that were brilliant, that it made the final decision difficult, but ultimately I was moved by the energy of Tono Vinco’s remix. This was an incredible experience overall getting to interact with talent from all over the world. I applaud Talenthouse for fostering this type of participatory creativity.”

Michael Miller – Get Produced & Distributed By MPROCO – 101,714 Social Engagements

Music-producing prodigy Michael Miller has ardently worked his way up the industry ranks. Himself a Talenthouse participant who achieved distinction in our Ryan Leslie invite, Michael returned as a host – seeking out a submission with talent suitable for a 5-song album that his label M Productions could produce and have distributed to all major online retailers from iTunes onwards.

“I would just like to say thank you to everyone who’s submitted to my Talenthouse Creative Invite. Really excited to start working together with Greg Banks on the EP soon.  I’d like to thank Talenthouse for making this opportunity possible – it’s been a lot of fun and I’d love to do it again!”

Orbitato – Design a Pattern – 110,906 Social Engagements

Orbitato, the Brazilian Design and Fashion Institute, commands widespread respect within the spheres of artistic education. With this project, the Institute desired both a commemorative art piece and the chance to take an aspiring artisan through the production of their work. Together with Talenthouse, Orbitato invited textile designers to draw a pattern that they could personally see applied to fabric, to be used as wallpaper and produced by Real Estudio.

“Foi surpreendente receber tantos trabalhos no primeiro concurso realizado numa parceria Talenthouse… Saímos deste concurso pensando em organizar um próximo!”

Red Fang – Design a T-shirt – 155,910 Social Engagements

When the heavy metal band Red Fang called forth for a T-shirt design that would inspire awe and awaken animal instincts, they looked to Talenthouse, and lo and behold, our members delivered with visionary guts and gusto. Ranging from a crimson scene depicting the calm before a caveman’s murder to a daVinci-like fusion of feral beasts, Talenthouse elicited submissions that could only be called “Metal.”

“Holy s***!! We were totally BLOWN AWAY by how many great entries we got. Thank you guys so much!!  It was really really really really hard to choose winners. In fact, it was so hard, there is a chance that even if you didn’t win one of the official prizes, you may be hearing from us about using your design for one of our shirts sometime in the future! For now, though, congratulations to the winners – you guys deserve it! Try not to get a sunburn while basking in the glory of your triumph.”
